GOAL: Shift public perception to an increased acceptance of affordable housing by showing a united front in communication channels.

Partnership Development

GOAL: Housing Frederick will provide or encourage opportunities for all parties interested in housing to develop methods for jointly changing negatives into positives.

  • Partners will sign a MOU with Housing Frederick 

  • Joint ventures will have: clearly designated responsibilities, deliverables and financial management

Regional Representation

GOAL: Housing Frederick will attend local, regional and state events to gather information to be used in supporting partners and Frederick County based goals.

  • Attend local housing-related meetings 

  • Join regional coalitions 

  • Attend conferences, briefings, etc. at state level

  • Distribute reports to partners 

  • Include report summaries in e-newsletter

Education

GOAL: Housing Frederick will host programs to educate public on housing continuum efforts and related topics.

We envision:

  • Sessions about affordable housing for political candidates

  • Updating housing continuum boards

  • Advocating with government officials

  • Meetings with for-profit real estate/rental community

  • Presentations to civic, social justice or church groups
